MotiveTune AU Windows Bridge v0.4.2
===================================

PURPOSE
Windows VCI/DoIP discovery plus ECU-programming preflight for MotiveTune AU v1.8.0.

The bridge binds only to 127.0.0.1 and automatically tries ports 8765-8769.

PROGRAMMING BOUNDARY
v0.4.2 can verify a standards-based programming route for preflight, but it does NOT expose a generic ECU flash/write endpoint. A validated ECU-specific programming-provider plugin is required for actual writing.

The bridge does not provide guessed security access, immobiliser/key bypass, odometer changes, emissions-delete programming or safety-system disablement.

START
1. Extract the complete bridge ZIP.
2. Double-click START-MOTIVETUNE-BRIDGE.bat.
3. Leave the PowerShell window open.
4. Open MotiveTune in current Chrome/Edge over HTTPS.

AUTEL / CARMAN J2534
Install the official manufacturer J2534/PC package first. Programming preflight reports installed PassThruSupport.04.04 providers and whether their FunctionLibrary path exists.

DIRECT ETHERNET / DOIP
Connect a genuine DoIP/ENET-capable path, verify Windows IPv4 link, then use Direct DoIP preflight. The bridge sends ISO 13400 vehicle-identification discovery only; ECU-specific UDS flashing is supplied by a future validated programming-provider plugin.

SNAP-ON S9 / S10
The bridge can inventory S9/EESM306B and S10/EESM317A from Windows evidence. The proprietary Snap-on host protocol is not used for ECU programming by this bridge.

TOPDON
The bridge inventories TOPDON/CarPal/TopScan Windows evidence only. Proprietary TOPDON commands are not guessed.

PROGRAMMING PREFLIGHT CHECKS
- standards-based provider/transport evidence
- J2534 FunctionLibrary file existence where registered
- ISO 13400 DoIP discovery
- explicit write-backend availability flag

Actual file identity, SHA-256, backup/recovery and technician confirmations are validated by the MotiveTune web app.

FIXES IN v0.4.2
- Prevents an idle/speculative Chromium loopback socket from blocking the single-threaded HTTP listener.
- Adds TCP/stream read/write timeouts and rejects idle connections quickly.
- Prints a direct /v1/status URL at startup for local verification.
- Retains the v0.4.1 PowerShell interpolation fixes.
- No change to VCI/DoIP write-safety boundaries.
